About Me
After graduating from high school in Turkey, I decided to pursue my degree at University of Toronto in lovely Canada. And this is how my journey started.
In September 2017, I started working at Scotiabank as a Solutions Architect under Global Banking and Markets. After my work term, I realized that I got an interest in business as well and realized that coding all day is not something that I really want. I did extensive research and attended workshops about project and product management, business analysis, and being a scrum master.
I have served on boards at student-led organizations including Co-op Students’ Association, Turkish Students’ Association, and Enactus. I have also served on committees at the university such as Council on Student Services. I got elected Member of the Campus Council and got appointed to the Academic Board of the Governing Council in 2019 to use my experiences to help students benefit from the university’s resources and gain valuable experiences and to bring the student voice to the university administration.
Currently, I am the Chief Communications Officer in a fast-growing start-up, Roll Scooters.

- Collaborated with business analysts, developers, and technical support teams to collect relevant existing design and architecture documentation
- Translated technical specifications into project scopes of work and product requirements while spearheading design and development of databases and enterprise solutions
- Automated the generation of organizational charts and data analysis to increase speed and fluidity of the manual data entry task using advanced Excel and Visio macros created with VBA, the time required to complete the charts and analysis decreased by 95%
- Carried out application database upgrades, database backups, database restore, database performance, backup scripts, deployment of patches and maintained data files and import logs
- Designed, architected and implemented automation tools to generate application landscape map using VBA and Python to increase the accuracy and efficiency
Bank of JARM - Project
July 2017 - August 2017- Utilized Java and software architecture knowledge to design, and develop Android banking application for administrators, tellers, and customers to manage accounts and users stored in SQLite database
- Implemented Agile software development techniques, such as Scrum and Test Driven Development in a team of four to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity
